Edublog 30 Day Blogging Kickstart
Recently some colleagues have asked me how I went about creating my blog, if I could offer some advice/tips, etc…while I’m flattered I also felt unprepared to offer advice. I have been blogging for about a year, however I am by no means a pro at it. Basically my bf set up my page using a WordPress.com template and he did an amazing job, but the rest I’ve just had to play around with and learn how to add content, schedule posts for later dates, etc.
Luckily, last night while I was browsing around the net, I read a post from www.freetech4teachers.com entitled “So You Want To Be A Blogger (or a better blogger)?” and read that Edublog is offering a 30 day kickstart blogging challenge.
Today I checked out the challenge, and have decided to accept it! I am proud that I am a life-long learner and am always looking for new ways to improve upon my skills and how I engage my students in my classroom….blogging has allowed me to do just that.
Stay tuned here as I tackle a challenge (offered in 3 stages: beginner, advanced & extension) each day to improve this site and incorporate new techniques. I will probably attempt the advanced task on most days but will need to do a beginner task here & there..I’m excited either way!
So what do you think? Are you interested in blogging? Did you start a blog and didn’t know what to do with it? Try the challenge and kickstart your blog!
